Following our first Kin Conversations hosted by Barlow & Barlow, we are delighted to announce our first Kin Creates workshop with Tess Newall on 31st March. Long term fans of Tess and her work, we are excited to welcome her to the House and have her host an intimate lampshade painting workshop.
Tess Newall is a decorative artist based in East Sussex. She hand-paints murals and furniture, taking inspiration from historic patterns and decoration from across the world.
During the workshop, you will become a decorative artist for the day, learning how to design and paint your own handmade card lampshade — inspired by the interiors of Kin House and its gardens. You’ll also have a chance to have a snoop around Kin’s spaces, as well as get to know your fellow creatives over an intimate grazing-style lunch served from our beautiful Drawing Room — and eaten alfresco on our Terrace if the weather allows.
Tickets are £200 and include: welcome tea, coffee and a treat, the creative workshop (including all materials), and a grazing-style lunch. Spaces are limited, email us on hello@kinhouse.co.uk to secure your place.
