How to host the ultimate pool party with Jimmy Fairly

To celebrate the opening of our brand new pool, we teamed up with Jimmy Fairly to host a two-day countryside getaway at Kin House. Club Soleil landed for the ultimate pool party – think flowing spritzes, wood-fired pizzas, and poolside lounging.

Across the two days, guests also enjoyed lawn games with picnic hampers, a cosy movie night, a relaxed dinner in the Hearth Room, and morning yoga in the Garden House. The sun made a welcome appearance – and, in true British fashion, so did a few rain showers.

We caught up with Katie Jennings, Senior Brand and PR Manager at Jimmy Fairly, who shares her go-to tips for hosting the perfect pool party.

What’s on your pool party checklist for the ultimate Kin House x Jimmy Fairly afternoon?

“A pair of Jimmy Fairly sunglasses — I’m currently wearing The Sigi on repeat — SPF 30, a cold Jimmy Spritz, classic striped towels, a disposable camera for capturing all the fun, and a well-curated playlist. A few pool floats never go amiss either!”

Describe your perfect day by the Kin House pool in three words.

“Warm, still, golden.”

What’s your favourite detail or design moment about the new space?

“The way light moves through the space — especially how it reflects off the water onto the stone — it’s beautiful. And the uninterrupted view over the English countryside is hard to beat!”

If Jimmy Fairly had a signature poolside cocktail, what would it be?

“The Jimmy Spritz — bright, refreshing, and a little unexpected. Grapefruit, elderflower, a dash of fizz, plenty of ice. The kind of drink that pairs perfectly with late afternoons and good sunglasses!”

What’s your go-to pool party playlist?

“A mix of warm-weather soul, a bit of Balearic-inspired disco, and some late-afternoon ambient tracks. Think Al Green, Peggy Gou, Khruangbin — layered and laid-back.”
